Hi,
I have quite a few different Gorgeous Red Leather Jewelry Cases with Gold Trim. They have rectangular push button like latches to open. On the bottom of each it states:
MADE IN ITALY.
The catch is, that on the interior satin of the cases, the Jeweler's name is in cursive and I Cannot locate the Brand of the jewelry cases. When I search Google Lens with photos Cartier usually is at the top of the search but I cannot find ONE, with the Same Gold Trim pattern.
I HAVE EXHAUSTED EVERY WAY THAT I'M AWARE OF TO FIGURE THIS OUT ! !
If anyone knows which Brand these are, or can point me in the right direction to be able to figure this out, I would be extremely grateful for your time and knowledge!
I contacted Cartier by phone and was told that they do provide special order jewelry cases in which the Jeweler's name would appear on the cases, but I wasn't given the chance to find out more information. As soon as they realized that they were not going to make a sale it seemed as if they weren't willing to give me the time of day. I cannot imagine anyone not having their Brand visible somewhere on the cases! The only other thought I had is, possibly the Brand is on the interior under the Padded satin but, I hoping I would not have to take apart one to find out, as I stated, in my opinion they are gorgeous.
I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF SOMEONE COULD IDENTIFY THE BRAND OF THESE, OR HOW TO DISTINGUISH AUTHENTICITY
Thank-you Very Much For Reading This! !
I Hope Someone Can Help Me !!
And..why didn't you give us a picture of the inside and name so we could see for ourselfs?
Looks like Cartier used similar boxes. It's possible someone tried yo copy them? Let's see that picture of the inside..
Hi Dav2no1
I figured someone would ask why I didn't show the Jewelers name, which is in gold cursive lettering on the interior of the jewelry cases on the top padded satin.
I was trying to avoid this because, I knew if I included the Jewelers name, the focus would be, more on what the Jeweler did, not on the Brand of these jewelry cases.
I've edited the photos in my post, see last photo!
I called Cartier again yesterday, I was told Only a Dealer can special order Cartier boxes and have their name on the boxes instead of the Cartier name. I also told her, they look like Cartier but I searched high & low and could not find one box with the same gold trim pattern as is on the ones that I have. She stated that the pattern can be individually picked along with a Special Order from a Dealer.
Do you believe the Brand name would still be on the boxes, maybe under the padded satin?
If you have any questions, or can provide any further information please message me again.
P.S. Since you can only post with 4 photos, if you'd still like to see the Jewelers name on the boxes, I will switch the
photo again to include.
Thank-You again for responding to my post! ????
This Cartier case is the closest I've seen to a similar style.

I can tell you, this is not my expertise and I'm only using my search skills and what little knowledge of jewelry.
But I think you are missing the obvious...if you know who the jeweler is, then it might be possible to track down who supplied the boxes.
Hi Dav2no1,
Thank-You for the link, I believe these are Cartier also, I just wish there was a way to authenticate.
I still must being missing it. How could I track down the supplier just by knowing the Jewelers name? I don't know him at all. After he got in trouble, they were liquidating his jewelry store, that's how I got my hands on these. If there is a way please explain.
Also, do you happen to know if there is anyone, or any business that would be able to authenticate?
P.S. I do appreciate you researching this and your input!
Tell us the name again and we'll see if we can find a connection.
Looking a little further a real Cartier box will have a box number stamped on the bottom. That tells you what goes in the box.

Your boxes are very nice, but even the authentic Cartier boxes sell between $50- a few hundred. I'm not sure finding the maker is going to improve the value of your boxes much?
Hey There Dav2no1,
My extreme gratitude for you taking the time to help. The Jewelers name is:
Joseph DuMouchelle "Fine & Estate Jewelers"
I checked the bottom of the cases and they have "Made in Italy" only on the bottom. I searched ebay and most Cartier's do have either the name or what looks like serial numbers on the bottom but I did see two that had nothing on the bottom. But, I have a doctors appointment and don't have the time to go back through and find them right now. In your opinion even without stating the brand do you believe they'd still be worth at least $35. to $50. each?
Also, do you think if I opened the interior top satin the brand maybe under the satin where the Jewelers name is? When I can't figure something out it bothers me more than most people.
Thanks Again!
From everything I've read, Cartier was very careful with their merchandise and anything that isn't stamped properly is suspect.
I was thinking that if you could prove the Jewelers sold Cartier, you may have a good argument but again without the proper markings..at the end of the day you have a nice Italian made box.
The fact this bozo was involved in such a ridiculous scam may give the item a novelty value to some? Not sure?
I doubt very much that he re-used a Cartier box. It's mire likely that he custom ordered then from a vendor that supplies these boxes to X number of jewelry stores.
Again, I'm not a jewelry expert and these are my opinions. But common sense should be applied in this case.
As for values...we are not supposed to discuss it here. But you can goto to places like etsy and see comparable items for sale. Remember that only sold prices are what matters, anyone can ask anything when selling an item. But with our etsy shop, we try to get at least 3 comparable before we list an item. That usually gives a realistic, close value.
Hi Dav2no1,
I believe we have exhausted all the information that I can get on these as of now. As of the Jeweler, if he would do such a scam that he went to prison, he very well could have had a knockoff of Cartier made. Either way at least I do know they are Made in Italy, real leather, and in my opinion they're very nice looking I think I'm going to leave it at that. Thanks for all your input, maybe one day I'll be able to give you my input on something your unsure of. I'm going check "Mystery Solved .
