    He is 31 inches tall
    His face is a bit like paper mache- not rubber
    His hips or upper thighs are very wide

      His face is made of celluloid which is so thin it allows it to be easily dented or crack. I don't believe Rushton ever did any of these doll and animals with celluloid faces . Could you a larger photo ?

      The face does have so cracks.
      I've searched and have found the same face but body type very different and he is 31 inches tall

      I believe this was a carnival prize doll. It looks like face is molded oil cloth . He is cool . I see so many in red and white I wonder if he represents someone. I can't tell what hat look like .

      The hat is a baseball rim
      And yes, I think it is oilcloth.
      The carnival prize dolls I've seen have a pointed hat.
      I was thinking he maybe some sort of circus worker or trainer
      Maybe a jockey?
