Hello everyone!!
Another recently acquired piece for me is this solid pewter Dachshund. I love Dachshunds and I just couldn't pass this little fellow up. I just think he's so well modeled. He's another one that's quite small and measures only 3 1/4" long, 1 3/4" tall and weighs 6.8oz. This one is from the early 1970's. So, not vintage (yet).

Charming! Nicely detailed and well proportioned for the small size. I’m fond of Dachshunds too. I had a wonderful Dachshund mix. I named her Stretch, no explanation necessary.

Thanks very much!! Dachshunds are our favorite breed. However, we have a German Shepherd, named Rosie, that has to be the sweetest and most loving dog I've ever seen.

I told you I had a dachshund in grammar school, he was golden brown, like this sweet guy. Named him Foo-Foo. I know I know not quite the right name for a weenie dog but tell that to a 8 years old girl ! Ha!
Lol Eileen!! I think Foo Foo is an excellent wiener dog name. Our first male was named Chip and our last two males were named Max and Fritz. Our current little girl Dachshund is named Carly and she's spoiled rotten!!
