Very cute glass panda bear!!
This piece almost looks like a mound of molton glass just being pulled from the fire, suberb !~
Great bear, Jenni! Not seen this one before! At first, I thought it was an amber version of the Mats Jonasson bear I posted a few years ago.

I will have to keep a lookout for one of these Viking bears, now!
Ah, thought you had not seen my MJ bear, Jenni, but now see that you commented on it!
Very cute bear
That's a great looking bear Jenni, and because of his lovely brown shades actually looks a bit like the brown/grizzly variety. It's a cool pose too- like he's coming out of hibernation. :)
If you put him in a window facing the sun, I'd say the effect is amazing!
Maravilloso, what a great addition
I had to enlarge the pic, I see the panda! Pretty cool!!!
I just love the colors of this glass!
Thank you all for the kind panda bear love

Scott thank you for your wonderful compliment, pandas certainly have a cuteness to them I love watching nature shows featuring these gentle giants
Thank you Phil for your super praise & you're right, this piece has a molten glow that gives this panda a fiery beauty
Kevin I took another look at your Mats Jonasson panda bear & you are right, the designs are almost identical, wow - I think these glassmakers copy from each other often as you can find many similarities - for example I recently posted a glass horse by Mantorp made in the very same spindly legged way as Pilgrim & other US glass co's. I was lucky to find this in the amber as it's mostly seen in the clear frosted type by Viking that's even more similar to yours. Thank you for your terrific comment & great observ!
Thank you MrsT for seeing the cute factor in this cuddly panda bear, he looks so adorable even encased in glass, appreciate the very nice compliment
You know Lauren, if he didn't have those sad panda eyes I could see a grizzly bear also in his big lumbering body, great call! I did take the pictures in a sunny room which is why the amber colors shift from lighter to darker, I love that effect. Thank you for your always fab & thoughtful praise
Muchas gracias kivatinitz for your lovely compliment, he is a very nice addition to my animal 'menagerie' :)
Share, I know, it can be hard to see the panda design, which is why I put the flat back side as the 1st photo, so on enlarging you could make out those distinctive panda bear eyes. Thank you for your great comment & praise
Many thanks vintagelamp for your ultra kind comment about this amber color, it's a very warm shade that is one of my favorites in glass, a happy color for sure
Thank you Elaine for the kind love for this glass panda paperweight, very happy that you liked it and always really grateful for your thoughtfulness
Thank you Mani for loving my amber glass panda, I'm so pleased that you liked him & always grateful for your kind attention
Late as usual :(
That first photo Jenni, wow, shows perfectly the modeling and colour of this awesome piece.
BTW this made it to CWs Facebook page
Karen thank you so much for your super praise and agreement with my choice of the 1st thumbnail pic, I wasn't sure to put its back first, but most of Viking's flat back bookends do show more detail than their bumpy sculpted fronts & I figured, gotta see those panda eyes to know it's not another bear.
And THANK YOU for telling me about the CW Facebook page, I always love when they do that it's a great compliment, not being a FB member I would never have known about it so greatly appreciated my friend
Thank you Blammoammo for the kind love for this Viking panda, very glad you liked it and truly appreciate your thoughtfulness
