    This little knife is marked MARSHAL&FIELDS. No idea as to age. Very thin and light and sharp. Can' t find any info on it.

      Interesting knife. Unfortunately your pictures are nothing but a blur. And in the future you need to crop your pictures to NOT include your feet. I have no idea what the actual markings are(blury pictures) other than what you say they are.

      Ok so...MARSHAL&FIELDS was a chain of stores..Started in Chicago, Illinois in 1852 by Potter Palmer, (1826-1902), originally named P. Palmer & Company. Field joined the company in 1865. In January 1881, after several changes in the partnership, the devastation of The Great Chicago Fire..amazingly the employees worked feverishly and got the majority of the merchandise out before the building burst into flames. They went on and leased an old Singer building a few years later that was lost to another fire, Field, with the support of his junior partners, bought out Levi Z. Leiter, renaming the business "Marshall Field & Company". Marshall Field & Company, grew to become a major chain before being acquired by Macy's, Inc. on August 30, 2005.
