Two and Four Gallon Red Wing Stoneware Crocks
Red Wing, MN
Around 1906, the elephant ear and birch leaf stamps on Red Wing pottery items were replaced with the now familiar red wing stamp which was used until the pottery plant closed in 1967. The early red wing stamps were six inches in length. As time went on, the wing size was reduced to four inches and then finally to two inches.
These two crocks have the four-inch-long stamps.
No cracks or chips :)
I use these in my kitchen to store my potatoes and onions.
Thanks Much for Looking at my Post!
I have always loved this pottery from the time especially seeing these fine pieces of Red Wing !~
