I bought this amp from a friend along with a 58-59 Roy Smeck Harmony H56 midnight blue stardust gold sparkle arch-top electric. I have found plenty of info on the guitar but can find nothing on the amp.
The amp has three Mallory pots from 59 and one clarostat pot that I couldn't date. It has 4 GE 6046 tubes from 56 and 57 and two preamp tubes. The speaker is a 12" Oaktron from 59.
It has brown wallpaper tolex and used to have a leather handle which disintegrated in my hand unfortunately.
The chrome control panel is set at an angle on the back. Starting at the right the first thing present is an empty hole which at one time housed a pilot lamp. This lamp is lost and gone forever due to stupidity and rough handling. Next there is an unmarked 1/4" jack that I assume is an input for a foot-switch for the tremolo. I have never plugged one in so I can't be absolutely sure. Directly adjacent to the unmarked jack there are two knobs that control the tremolo's depth and speed. Next to the tremolo is the solitary tone control knob which is marked "Bass Tone"- Surprisingly the power switch is on this knob. Next is the volume knob which is designated "Instr. Volume". The inputs are last thing on the panel. there are 4 inputs, two that are designated "for studio" and two that are designated "for accordion".
This low voltage amp certainly does not rattle the plates off the walls but the tone is silky and when turned up all the way it breaks up beautifully.
I will probably never part with this amp but I would sure like to know it's value and make.

In an amplifier schematic book, I've seen pictures of 1950s Carvin Amplifiers somewhat similar to yours.
In a recent Carvin catalog, they even had a picture of one, asking to buy them back.
Also, I vaugely remember readind that Carvin manufactured them for other companies as well.
