Also, I vaugely remember readind that Carvin manufactured them for other companies as well.
In an amplifier schematic book, I've seen pictures of 1950s Carvin Amplifiers somewhat similar to yours. In a recent Carvin catalog, they even had a picture of one, asking to buy them back.
