This 2 1-2" atom or atomic style silvertone brooch was a popular jewelry design choice of the 50s-60s "space age" era. The smoky blue marquise shape rhinestones are encircled by shiny clear/white baguette swirls, designed by Alfred Philippe for Trifari with his 'Trifari Pat Pend' mark in rectangle on the back
Another beautiful brooch..Love it.
This is an atom you do not want to breach ! Splitting this would be a sin as the design is so wonderful, gorgeous !~

Thank you Dawn for your lovely compliment, this one definitely had the wow factor for me - such a different and striking Trifari
Phil I promise not to breach this atom!! For an atomic type brooch they really did alot of work putting those baguette rings around, very cool for the era. Thank you for your terrific praise
It's true Maureen, this does have a sculptural look, you can imagine it larger & spinning on a platform, great thought. I am always drawn to the unusual and was very surprised that Philippe designed something space age, he always amazed you. Thanks for your wonderful comment
Karen it does have alot of flow to it, those swirling baguettes really 'make' the design. Fabulous comment & keen observ my friend thanks so much
With thanks to you all for the love
