This demitasse was bought from Martín Cerdá a few months ago also for about U$ 10.- I had been looking at it for a long time and I had asked him the price because I was interested but the price seemed expensive since the transfer it is not of the best quality and lacks any kind of markings. Having finished with the Russian mugs, I am ready to publish it now. When I take the pictures it was evident that although the chromolithography is not exquisite, it is not too bad and you can see those white porcelain dots in relief on the chest of the bird and on the petals of some flowers that French call “pearls”. I decided to spend some time looking for who manufactured it..... I had an idea that it was French because of the tone and thickness of the porcelain, and I found several similar cups (the same white with different decorations) one of them marked A. Hache & Co. Vierzon France. The handle of the cup has a very particular design that I have not found on others and it was gilded but little of the gilding remains.
This manufacture was a great competitor of Haviland Limoges. I reproduce below what the jury of the Universal Exhibition of the Centenary of theRevolution 1989 wrote below in order not to cut the description of the mug. The decoration of the mug has several peculiarities and is more similar to its English counterparts, which makes me think that it was probably not signed ex profeso, probably to be sold as if it were English. There is a bird in yellow and blue on a cherry blossom branch and in front of the branch an irregular panel that has a landscape dominated by a butterfly and a corn plant. The plate repeats the branch and the butterfly takes on greater dimension.
    Gold medal in 1889
Three great prizes were awarded to French porcelain manufacturers: Sèvres, Messrs Haviland and Ce of Limoges and Messrs Hache, Jullien and O of Vierzon.
Here is the comment of the Jury concerning Hache and Jullien: "This house presents us in its exhibition a great variety of products; services of table decorated in various ways, some with blue of furnace and gold and others with colors in the great fire under cover. The pieces that compose these different services are of a beautiful manufacture, the plates and round and oval dishes are of a glazed Gentlemen show perfect and one of a grade collection of lightness. Ordinary services that indicate that, next to the rich and very neat articles, they produce a good current that they can deliver to the trade and to reduced prices. We particularly admired their collections of cups with openwork designs and whose enamel alone fills the voids, as well as a few samples of new porcelain, made according to the discovered by Mr. Lauth. One of the beautiful applications of Mr. Lauth's processes are the remarkable pieces in flamed China that they have completely succeeded. There are also service pieces decorated in a very pleasant and economical way by chromolithography. by chromolithography.

Karen I really appreciate your comment and the truth is the first time I saw a corn plant in a transfer, it is not something common.
