This décor, white spatter on a yellow ground, is the most commonly found of all Welz décors. The mould for this basket is much used but most often with a different rim crimp. I'm guessing that a JIP basket is unique to Welz. They certainly knew how to get many shapes from the same mould. This one makes me laugh!

Yup, never seem a j.i.p basket before & as you know I'm a basket case from way back! Fabulous & funky...& so typically Welz. I've often thought that so much of their glass exudes a fun, playful spirit...
