against my better judgment I bought this penguin at the beginning of a month long visit to Cape Town
it seems to be signed but only faintly
I cannot understand the sort of abrasion on the side near the base
fairly confident it is Murano but would like to learn who was the maker?
I just can't escape the feeling, that this is Scandinavian.
maybe it is?
I am always open to learn something new
it seems to be some sort of Alexandrite glass
It will be great to find out, I'm sure someone will know.
I have a hunch this penguin is Cenedese, very much the colours and shape for them.
Fabulous

good call on Cenedese ;-)
comment from a supposed expert on another forum
However your penguin is not the shape of the Cenedese penguin. Nor does it have the classic Da Ros trademark ‘ bloodspot’ inside it. So I stand by my opinion. Not Cenedese in my view.
another comment was if it was Cenedese the edge of the base would be chamfered?
I contacted Cenedese directly and they said the penguin was not their product
