Here is a 4 1-2"H lavender glass ram head paperweight that was originally designed as a bottle stopper by Heisey Glass in the late 40s. Reissued by Mosser in the 1990s, with their faint M in Ohio state outline imprint on the side seen in photo #4
Happy Birthday CW Aries people including friends Karen-racer4four, Scott-jscott0363 and Ralph-Cokeman1959, hope your year ahead is spectacular!
*NOTE This was previously posted in cobalt blue glass a few years ago
Absolutely AMAZING Jenni! My birthday was March the 29th. Happy birthday yall!
Very nice..and good color.
Does it change color with the type of light? Neodymium?
I seem to remember you have posted something like this before? It was the same one was it? It's a very cool item too, looks like an old carving that should be on a building.
Happy birthday to you too Cokeman!
Jenni you know I love this ram, and you must know you are the sweetest person here on CW
Those ribbed folds in the shell really promote the lavender colour. Magnifique !~
I was going ask the same question as kivatinitz ..might it be Neodymium glasss?
With thanks to you all for the ram love

Happy birthday to you Ralph, I hope you had a blast! Thank you for your fantastic praise & many happy returns, I will not forget your ram BD :)
Dave thanks so much for your super compliment, it surely is a pretty rendering of the powerful ram's head, and to think the orig design is @90yo, wow
Thanks kivatinitz for your terrific comment & great question, I was told it was neo glass by the seller and although I mostly find that in non-US glass, on looking at it I can see sections of pale blue so I think you may be right
Lauren your memory is excellent, yes I had previously posted this ram head in cobalt blue glass but it is no longer in my collection. I believe I prefer this one as purple is my fave color, & it has more transparency. Yes it does have that classic carved look that should definitely grace a big impressive stone building! Thank you for your fabulous comment
Happy happy Karen my ram buddy, you and Ralph (Cokeman) deserve some very special treatment! Ah, I'm just an astrology buff from way back & love attributing sign qualities to friends esp in my mind (i.e., Aries = fearless, honest, a born leader, and very good looking folks :) I know you love this ram from before & I thank you deeply for your always wonderful uplifting words & friendship
Phil you're so right, the folds in the horns do look like seashells, great eye! And this lavender color is sublime. Thank you for your marvelous praise
I really do think it is neo glass Penny, did another couple photos with my phone that came out more blue in less sunny indoor lighting than the posted ones which I do on my tablet. This ram is a more recent reissue of Mosser's lavender glass which is different from earlier lavender-pink Heisey reissues (have some of those coming up). Thanks for your great thoughtful comment!
That’s great Jenni, I thought it might be, I don’t have any neo glass..
Great ram's head paperweight Jenni!!
Thanks so much Scott for the super compliment I'm really glad you liked this ram, and Happy Aries BD to you!
Appreciate your kind comment Penny, I've only a few neodymium glass animals so this guy makes a nice addition
Thank you very much for the love
