This beautiful Sterling Silver Victorian chatelaine is a beautiful piece of jewelry (that's how you also can call it) could only be worn on a belt or waist of a wealthy lady. You could call a chatelaine the ladies' bag for the rich ladies in the 19th century.. The word chatelaine is derived from the French word Chateau which means Castel because these ladies could afford them.
Each part is a beautiful piece of silversmith art in itself. And given the beautiful heavy finish, it also has a total weight of 212 grams.
It would be too long to describe each part separately. In any case, I think it is a rich addition to my collection.
Gorgeous!
Love the mesh purse.
