My grandfather was a clock maker and collector. He passed his collection down to my father who has passed away. I now have ~100 clocks -- mostly Henry Hart, Seth Thomas, Waterbury and Clarke, Gilbert & Co. but am having trouble identifying this one. It is made of iron and has a snuff box, according to my late father as the top comes off. Thus the reason the first picture the top is a little off center.

I'm pretty sure it is spelter, not iron, still makes it feel a bit heavy. There are a lot of fake new ones out, heavy and made of resin. This is not a fake - probably very early 20th century from what I can see.
