Rhinestone…
(1 item)
As a small-time Sherman collector, for me there are crystal beaded pieces, and then there are CRYSTAL BEADED PIECES! Although the shape of the dangling beads aren't a match (round vs. pear-shaped), these over-the-top Sherman pieces are some of my favourite. Both the necklace and the bracelet have been assembled using a beaded lattice structure from which faceted bead dangles are suspended, throwing a rainbow of colours with every movement.
For some collectors, whether rhinestones or crystal beads, the crystal AB "colour" has been a mainstay of many an owner and collector, with their first pieces often being in this "colour". It was what I started with, and still have a few of these in my collection. Some collectors very likely find them "run of the mill", but the versatility of these beads and rhinestones have made them a sparkling accessory for woman's closets over the decades, with the multi-coloured aurora borealis coating accenting the colour of clothing that the pieces have been worn with them. Good ol' Gus – he absolutely knew what he was doing!
Absolutely stunning and i like the way you display them in the 1st photo.
Delightfully glittering and lovely!
Oolala…..Such a fabulous example of Sherman Crystal beads, and wow to the rhinestone clasp. Very nice!
These are incredible and even in the book they don't have pieces like this. I would love to see these in person, the shangri la of beads. Quite the collection you have and even with beads, Gus Sherman was the master !~
Just seeing this post tonight. Such a gorgeous necklace set! I so love AB, and yes, right on, AB was definitely the first I collected. Great Sparkle.
