These cups are the ones we bought matching the sugar bowl that has the motif of the Dutch Port. I've been wanting to post them for a long time but haven't been able to find out anything about them. The blank is not smooth, it has a pattern of curves that are molded and visible on both sides of the plates and cups. This pattern is repeated four times and is accentuated by the gold curves. The edges of the plate and cup have been spray-painted in green while the center of the plate and bottom of the cup are decorated in gold and burgundy. There are also flowers, all of this painted by hand. Cup handles are very unusual and I have seen something similar on those made by Popov in Russia. It is interesting to see that the base of the cups have an incised mark, they are not the same and do not look like letters. All the decoration and the white itself are of high quality. I will appreciate any idea you can provide about their origin, I don't think they are English or made here in Argentina.
