Hello. I am just trying to find more information about this book. I had found Good Stories titled book but it contains different titles. That book was dated 1880 and in much better shape than the book i have. Not too much information or pictures provided in that listing. My book has 10 stories. Multiple illustrators listed but only 2 illustrations. Despite the title on the hardcover Famous Stories, the inside pages state Good Stories. Is it 1st edition since there is no date? How old is it? Is it a mystery book or not?
    Thank you

I see W. M. Thackeray as the writer for A Shabby Genteel Story. William Makepeace Thackeray wrote that in 1888. That's all I have. good luck.
