Beautifully Painted Mediterranean Jug / Age & Maker Unknown

A Sunday trip to GW scored this beautifully painted large 12" jug which could easily hold a gallon. I figured it's a jug instead of a pitcher as it has no spout. The colors and the floral festoons in the design are really eye-catching. The clay it's made of is rather silky and fine grained almost like china and no glaze on the hand painted surface. The design is very Mediterranean so it could be from Italy or Portugal. The mark on the bottom isn't much help in that respect. Not a bad find for a Sunday drive plus there's a Dairy Queen in the same plaza :) -Mike-
