This is the biggest vase I have ever seen dwarfing the soup can in pic 1. It stands an impressive 32" tall and about 10" at the widest portion near the base. The scalloped and crimped top shows clear edges with white casing on the interior. The ribbed body is decorated with waves of autumnal colors in brown, rust and orange. No clue as to maker or country of origin and as far as age goes I'm hoping mid-century. -Mike-

Awesome floor vase. I do know they were popular in the 50s so I'm thinking you're correct on the age!

Hi, shareurpassion, thanks for the"love" and the comment. I'm glad you agree about the age. There are two online with not much at all in the descriptions in terms of maker. Just that they are quite pricey. :)

I know shareurpassion and the ironic thing is that one is here in Ohio as well. Broadview Heights is a half hour from me. Could you imagine a pair of these :)

Wow, awesome vase Mike. I have no idea where made but it looks a bit Florentine to me.

Thanks for the"love" and comment Karen. I know when I saw this at the thrift it was like....Whoa !! What are you doing here you big beauty? This is a place that typically never has anything but common dinnerware. It was in the furniture section sitting on a table. Everyone stared at me while I took it up to the check out. How it survived production unscathed is a miracle. The credit card machine even crashed while paying for it. Would you like a bag?? Seriously ?? ...lol.
This site has gorgeous pieces priced for deeep pockets!!
