This Czech spatter décor is called 'caramel spatter' by some collectors. The lidded jar I am posting here is considerably darker than most. It is thought by most that the caramel spatter was produced by several makers as the spatters vary so much, while still using broadly the same colours. Image 4 show some examples. The candle stick is placed to get the best view of its spatter.
Height of the lidded jar 21 cm./8.25 inches
Something I've never seen before. Very interesting color.
Mikelv, EZa who posts here has an amazing collection of this glass. Well worth a look at her posts.
Great find! I have this vase but no lid. This is my holy grail if I'm ever lucky enough to find one with a lid. Fantastic!
I do believe this is an older piece. My vase in this shape looks much older than the others.
Hello EZa, I'd be willing to swap this one for one of your paler ones if we could get in touch.
Hi Sklo! At first I said, SURE! But then I was thinking (not the bowls!) but MAYBE we can agree on something. I have a lot more now, and need to do a new inventory. Although I have definitely slowed down. The email that I look at most is raven219@hotmail.com.
I have been unable to contact you, with or without the final dot, on the above email.
Sorry
