Stupendous color and lifelike stance bring this beautiful frog to life! Hands down, you have the most amazing art glass animals around! :) :)
I love the depth created by the blues and greens used and give the eye a path to follow when it comes to its back, Wonderful to see the etch of signature, beautiful !~
So simple yet very life like. Catch him before he jumps away ! :)
With thanks to you all for the kind love

DejaVu thank you for your wonderful comment & lovely words about my glass animal menagerie, I am humbly grateful :) This frog was an easy choice to add to it, with his pretty 'cascading rain' coloring, and it's one of the few Wedgwood glass beauties I didn't already have
Thank you Phil for your awesome comment, I love the way your artist's eye can see so much beauty in a piece, the way you describe this frog is really a delight
Lol Mike, he is certainly not staying still for long! That is the great thing about Stennett Willson designed animals, they appear very lifelike but with a simple touch of whimsy. Watched a doc on Panamanian yellow frogs the other day, they have a beautiful spotted yellow coat but to touch them they are toxic to mammals, so strange that something so pretty can be deadly, I guess to avoid their predators. Thank you for your fab and fun comment
Gosh I adore this little glass frog, love the sleek sculpt on him, makes him look like a sweet little plump glass bubble- some frogs do have a very round bubble shape look to them.
His pose is very like a frog, he's just sitting on a leaf in the rainforest, probably in a little pool of water, a bit like a bubble anyway! :D
Thanks Lauren for your super comment on this froggie, he certainly does look like there's a bubble on him with that clear glass front! It's funny, Wedgwood Glass often only partially colored their animals, but I have a different one in this blue green 'rainfall' pattern that is totally colored coming soon
I found a little green tree frog in my boot yesterday, so this is absolutely perfect in that regard.
Perfect also because it just IS!
Thank you all so much for the love

Karen thank you for your wonderful & fun comment, I can't imagine finding a frog in my boot, it must've been a bit jarring! But tree frogs are small so I guess it was more of a laugh to you :) Know how you like my Stennett Willson animals, have just one left then I might be done with the series
Many thanks Bronmar for the kind love for this glass frog, glad you liked it and grateful for your thoughtfulness
