Being broke is not always a bad thing in terms of an empty piggy bank. My little friend is probably here today because he never had a cent to his name. There's no real hole for a typical cork or stopper in the bottom just a few random openings. It looks like it was taped over to keep whatever he had in and then shaken out not broken into bits. Royal Copley located in Sebring Ohio made a lot of whimsical animal pottery and a few of these piggys in different styles. The companion to this one would be his sister that says "For My Mink". The slot on top goes from ear to ear so looks like bills were encouraged. The average cost of a Cadillac DeVille in the 50's would have been $3523.00. Today he'd be hard pressed to hold the $50K and up they cost with an Escalade topping out at well over a $100K . Not so much a statement of luxury anymore as your own private rolling computer. Insane ! -Mike-

What a cute piggy bank with an adorable face. Maybe stuffed with hundreds would get you on your way, even for a short term rental....
