My weekly trip to our H for H "Restore" yielded this vintage lamp shade. Just what I needed for the metal MCM lamp that I found on the curb last week. It was high up on the lighting section shelf so I had to improvise a grabber to reach it. A pendant light rod did nicely. Once down I noticed it had no price. Darn I hate that ! Not in bad shape for some 50 years old. The linen was a bit dingy and the glue was darkening around the bottom edge. The top has a nice gold brocade band and the proportions looked right. Still serviceable despite the aging. Took it to the cashier and figured it would have to go back to production for pricing but she said $1 dollar ! Got it home and put it on...perfect ! Well almost. It sits well from the bottom but the top is a bit deep and hides that great looking finial. Have to figure out a way to raise it above the top edge maybe a rod of some type will do the trick. -Mike-
