Well this is my first piece of Sherman jewellery....and I love it.
After seeing everyones beautiful pieces on the site I decided to get a piece myself.
I love the combination of colours they are truly gorgeous.
Could not be happier with it.
I am told it is in the Sherman book page 132.

For a first piece, you have a good eye. The houndstooth prongs and that beautiful central stone give it that Sherman touch which is unmistakable. A Sherman eye can see that this was Sherman a mile away. Sherman did use these colours also for pieces that are in the same Rhodium plate and also Japanning various good pieces also. I have a nice set in these colours !~

What a fabulous first piece! Gorgeous colours and of course that classic design. I always think of this one as “the Mandelbrot” as the shape reminds me of that fractal. I am so glad you got it and that you’re starting your Sherman collection with such a treasure!

I have purchased a Sherman rigid bracelet a few days ago....so excited for it to arrive...have to always wait a while for postage down here in Australia but so worth it.

This brooch is special in a few different ways, the colours are spectacular. Purple and Fuchsia, what could be prettier. The style is so majestic and always makes me think of royal jewelry. Beautiful first piece. And it is really worth it to acquire the Sherman book. Mind boggling pieces.
