My grandfather began working for Socony Vacuum (which later became known as Socony Mobil Oil in the mid-'50s) before World War II and went back to work there after he got out of the service. These were various keepsakes he picked up during his many years with the company. He worked out of Kansas City for most of these years, I believe.
The 12-inch by 11-inch metal Mobilgas sign has been marked on the bottom with the date 7/7/47. It is in beautiful condition. I'm not sure how old the tape measure in the second picture is. But the name tag, with my grandfather's name in it, would have to be before the company changed it's name in the '50s. The third picture comprises a Mobil oil can radio (probably from the '70s or '80s) a badge, and some wood stamps. The final picture is of a Mobil Pegasus string tie.
Very cool sign
Those are some really cool treasures for sure.
