Here is a 5 1-2"H textured glass owl bookend or paperweight combining yellow glass with frosted clear glass accents. From Viking Glass ca 1980s, has Viking label plus a National Heisey Glass Museum tag where it was probably sold

Very cute, the owl motif has become very popular over the last few years and this is very typical of the whole owl thing! Very typical beady eyed little owl! :)

DejaVu thank you for your awesome praise for this owl, & very creative thought for its moonstone accents, that's lovely! The addition of the yellow glass really brings out the sculptural design here, I'd only ever seen this owl in clear frosted so it was exciting to get the rare yellow version

You are right about the owl's popularity Lauren, I've posted so many I had to create a special collections category for them (now I do Collections here, because since our CW "meltdown" the newer posts cannot be archived in the search box, so this way I can easily access them). This guy is certainly a great example of a typical horned owl & his eyes do look like round beads! Thank you as ever for your splendid compliment & comment

Thank you so much leesa for your lovely praise for this owl, I really like owls myself & have many in glass and jewelry, they make fascinating subjects

Aw, this looks like it should be cuddled!
I love a cartoonish owl and this one is fab.
And how clever is the subtle use of different colours here.

He is kind of a cartoonish cuddly baby owl at that Karen! The colored parts are very subtle and definitely enhance the sculpture. Thank you my friend for your always delightful praise
