Gorgeous little girl here Jenni! Her deep green is lovely, and her little red throat is so true to what a real hummingbird is. I've never seen a real hummingbird, but I'd love to. She also looks like she's perched on a branch looking for flowers to sip from. (I know they hover when doing that!)

Thank you DejaVu for your terrific comment about this hummingbird, I too really love its colors they are pretty true to life esp with the ruby throat

Lauren I've never seen a real hummer either, at least not up close - people in my area put up nectar feeders for them so they must be around, but they are super fast flyers and it's only on TV docs that slow them down where I can truly appreciate their beauty. The colors here really are great with subtle shading, and that's a lovely image of her sipping from a flower (I think the wings are still flapping even when they land!). Thank you for your fantastic comment

It's so true sklo42, Langham makes such a huge variety of birds I think they must have an avian expert on hand :) Thank you for your wonderful comment about the ones I do have, it's always a joy to find another Langham bird like this, an early version... now they make hummingbirds perched on a clear glass ball, but I much prefer this natural looking one

Langham do make such wonderful birds, all different shapes and styles.
I have not seen a hummingbird before. Perfect.

Thank you Karen for your lovely comment & love, I agree, Langham makes the best birds & I think because they're big on natural colorization. We've probably never seen the real hummers because they fly by so fast, much like the chickadee another of my fave birds
