Thank you leesa for your wonderful praise for this fancy fly, I'm with you I love pretty jewelry bugs esp at this hot, hot summertime here in NY. It was really a surprise this was a fly not a bee as its shape would suggest, but of course those crossed feelers are the giveaway
It's really true DejaVu, I was rather amazed that this was by Lisner, more of a KJL type buggie. But I do have a number of really nice Lisner pieces incl figurals, they tried to have some individuality which always appeals to me. Thanks for your super compliments & glad this was your fave of mine in this bunch
Really nice bug Jenni, he's like a beetle too with his thick legs and body and with that green blue colour
A scarab maybe?
Nice amount of stones on his body too.
Thanks Lauren & Dawn for the love, always greatly appreciated!!
Lauren I can see the beetle comparison here, and your great eye has seen that scarab-like wing design, very similar! It's really buggy this yr in NY during our summer, temps have been hot & humid, which gets me to thinking about posting a jewelry bug lol. Thanks as always for your awesome praise & insight
adore this one
This brooch shows the beauty of blowflies which we usually ignore or hate.
That bluey green shine is perfect.
Wonderful brooch Jenni!
Thanks kivatinitz & Karen for your awesome comments & love, I'm so happy you both liked this buzzer. Karen, yes a blowfly or even a horsefly, much prettier (& less annoying!) in jewelry
