I found this pair of marked Riedel glasses in a bookshop which also sells a few bits of bric-a-brac. I can't find any the same but I assume they are shot/spirit glasses, there are some online with the same bowl shape. These are chunky, with octagonal stems, 11cm./4.25" tall.
very interesting....good find
