Here are two blue satin glass birds from the early 1980s by the LE Smith Glass Co of Mt Pleasant PA. Item #150 Bird, Head Up is 3"H, item #150 Bird, Head Down is 3 1-2"H (tail). As seen in the book Glass Animals by Spencer, photo #4
Gorgeous pair, so nice to have 2, the prices would have gone up from that list !~
Pretty birds doing what birds do! The satin finish is so beautiful too! Here's hoping your procedure goes well and you are back to posting soon. :)
Beautiful..they made some great pieces over the years..
Pretty little birdies! They look like the sort of birds you'd see on the side of a birdbath. I also find their icy blue really adds to that look- like a frozen birdbath with statues on a wintry morning?
Thanks everyone for the love

Thank you Phil for your wonderful comment and you are so right, that glass book is @20 yrs old & the prices on this pair of birds certainly are higher now, if only we could freeze those orig prices lol :) But always worth it to me to find authentic book-shown animals, one of these birds even had an orig Smith label under the base but I thought the pix proved the i.d.
DejaVu thank you for your super kind comment esp about my procedure, all went fine & don't worry not serious, just a little adjustment to the one I had last year. Personally I truly hate having anything medical done, and this from someone who did med transcription for a living :) Very pleased you enjoyed this birdie pair!
Thanks Dave for your great comment and totally agree, LE Smith made some lovely glass animals that were always nicely shaped & easy to identify...some glass co's go out on a limb stretching reality and if it's too far out I usually don't get it, my husband is my sounding board and if he says (for instance) a frog looks like a dog, I know I'm in trouble!
Lauren these birds absolutely do look like they're posed around a birdbath, I actually have a Murano glass piece with birds in almost that very same pose, good call! And so beautiful to imagine them like statues on a birdbath in winter, terrific image & always awesome comment
Thanks so much JB for the love for this pair of glass birds, so happy you liked them and always grateful for your thoughtfulness
These are as sweet as you :)
I'm amazed you have so much documentation for your pieces Jenni.
Aw Karen, now I'm blushing - YOU are one of the sweetest people on this site my friend! As far as my documentation it's thanks to two great glass ref books I have, if I see something pre-2000 I cross check with google to see if it's for sale (in my price range, alot of oldies are too steep), clip out the book photo to add to my post pix. Thanks as ever for your fantastic comment & kind interest
