It's amazing that they hand painted these lovely little creatures.
In Aus we call chickens chooks, and she is a good looking chook for sure.

Very sweet little chicken, though with the comb and tail I'd safely say she's a HE?!!! He's very feminine and soft looking anyway, especially that pose, looks like he's stopped pecking, noticed something interesting and prefers that instead!

Thank you Karen for your wonderful comment & I too think the painting on this chickie is really an enhancement. Chooks is so adorable! They are certainly active little birds & I esp love the baby chicks with their fuzzy look

Phil I'm so glad you loved this pretty yellow gal & think your mom would have enjoyed it, thank you so much for your super comment

You know Lauren, I thought it must be a rooster too but Fenton titled it chicken or hen, and looking at real hens they also have a crown (though smaller) like a rooster's, plus Fenton made other roosters, so I changed the name to "or hen" as it does look too feminine to be a male :) I am so glad you liked the pretty soft look of this one, and thank you for your always great & spot-on comment
