All my Avon bottles are in storage now, waiting for us to remodel the bathroom, *someday*. They will have their own glass door display case, floor to ceiling. But till then, they live in a cardboard box, all wrapped and safe. I just let them come out and play so I could take pics and share them with you.
I love them dearly, but I hate cleaning them!!!! >.<
avon use to be a big seller with lots of collectors now you cant even give them away around here
It's one of those things that come and go, but true collectors are pretty hard core. I had some when I was little, my Mom would say "Get rid of those stinky Avon bottles" Of course back then we had the antique store, and she thought they were junk. I did get rid of them, but didn't throw them out, I gave them away.
You'd be surprised, vanskyock24! I have many collector friends in the US. We are all taking advantage of the low demand proces right now...lol
You keep on saying you can't give them away...I will keep on buying them for a song!!! lol
Vestaswind, I must admit, your mom was right in one thing....they ARE stinky! Some of that Avon perfume can be pretty overwhelming!!! Especially the lady's cologne!! Even with the caps on tight, some of them manage to make a statement... :P
We had an old station wagon, and would go to church across town every Sunday and pick up three elderly relatives. Between sitting in the back with the fumes, and an over kill Avon Rose, we were pretty sick by the time we got there.
