Anteater from Schleich WILDLIFE
5.5 inches long and 2 inches tall
Picked this guy up at a local garage sale.
From the Schleich website.....
"The Anteater from Schleich WILDLIFE lives in the savannas and grasslands of Central and South America. The mammal feeds primarily on ants and termites. To get them out of their nests, the anteater bores in with its long snout, then sticks out its 60 cm long sticky tongue. Anteaters also have a bushy tail that looks bigger than it actually is due to the long hair."
One thing I recently learned about the anteater is that they are related more closely to the sloth and armadillo and NOT to the Aardvark and Pangolin. I didn't know that.... now I do :)
Thanks Much for Looking at my Post!!
Looks so real….including that spider!
Sole of it’s foot has such great detail, it’s certainly a quality piece.
Nicely staged!
Schleich is all that. Interesting info about the relations.
Thanks Much to Watchsearcher, reacer4four, and fortapache for Stopping by to Comment!! I really Appreciate them :)
