My sister picked this up for me at a garage sale. I love wood and stone carved objects. The duck is missing one eye. I am calling it a duck but it could also be a swan? I say duck because the neck is short.

GET IT RIGHT!
I see a lot of these type items incorrectly labeled as onyx. This duck is made of Alabaster. These are Alabaster because it's a soft stone and can be easily carved.

"Alabaster is a soft, translucent stone, usually white with either black or brown veins or lines throughout the stone. Onyx is a much harder stone and is typically black and white."
