Had this nearly 50 years, from a Northern Ontario family originally from New York c.1906 .They had a chef pre ww2,and apparently he called it his "Baron of beef" knife. I was given the knife among other things for helping after the matriarch passed away.
Could never afford a Baron but had fond memories of a lunchtime tradition in the 60s of beeing served at the Angel Inn , Leicester UK.
from a huge example on the bar. It measures 11 3/4" long.
