This was a cool buy it now find on eBay AU - a very pretty Victorian art glass fancy bowl. It most likely would have originally had a silver plate stand.
It is made from an unusual translucent pale mauve glass overlaid with opalescent white trailed decoration & the top rim is crowned with a uranium yellow pincered crest The bowl measures 6.5 cm tall, 13 cm across the top rim, & 6 cm across the base, which has a neatly polished out pontil mark.
Last photo shows it with a similar item in the same decor, albeit a different colour scheme.
Maybe English origin, or perhaps Bohemian, circa 1880s - 1890s. This decor seems fairly rare.
Beautiful too, Marin.
Many thanks, Peggy!
