This 2 3-4" goldtone fish brooch has pearly green & blue-black enamel, white rhinestones and two dark eyes. By Sphinx of England ca the 1960s, number mark 20979 on back of tail. This design was also made by Jomaz
What an unusual fish brooch! I love the design and the enamel rhinestones are beautiful. Very nice piece! :)
There is some nice personality this fish has as if wondrous at the new world he has just discovered, very nice piece !~
What an amazing fish brooch!! I love everything about it. I've always wanted to add a cast iron fish doorstop to my collection, but they're way out of my budget!
Very odd but nice fish this week Jenni, and my favorite of your uploads this week. ^^
He's like one of those ancient dolphin creatures that you see put on Grecian style fountains, but the horizontal tail is unique, and of course the one fin is a well thought out detail. :)
My sincere thanks to you all for the love

Thank you also for your delightful comments
DejaVu, isn't it a most unusual fish design, yet it is a vintage classic because Jomaz also did this design. It's got that undulating freshwater fish look
Phil he is definitely wide eyed and taking it all in, reminds me of the koi fish in a mall grotto that used to come right up to people expecting to be fed
Scott I'm so glad you loved this fish, and I know for sure one day you will be adding a cast iron fish doorstop to your awesome collection & am looking forward to it
Lauren you are on target here, this fish's eyes & pouty lips could certainly be on a dolphin fountain, I've seen one as a stone sculpture on the outer rim of a pool in a Hawaiian hotel & it spouted a stream of water, great call! And of course I'm really happy this was a favorite upload of mine in this group, thank you!
Glad you liked my fishy JB, and thank you ever so much for the kind love
Thank you Karen for the love for this Sphinx fish, so glad you liked it and always delighted when you stop by
