Hello everyone!!
I finally got to do a bit of treasure hunting today and found this cast Iron French Bulldog doorstop for $25.00!!!! It was made between 1930-1940 and I believe this one was made by LITTCO. It measures 7 3/4” tall, 6 3/8” wide and weighs 4 1/2lbs. All that it needed was a good cleaning. It’s in very good condition for its age, though I’m not so sure it’s the original paint. But, for $25.00 I felt like I got a true bargain.!
Hubley made one and catalogued it as French Bulldog #304 and National foundry also made one, but theirs had to be number 144 stamped on its belly.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look at my French Bulldog doorstop!!

Love the expression on his face..
Great French Bulldog you got there Scott. Last week I saw a Boston terrior that was facing straight ahead. Have you ever seen one? The price went high, and I didn't know if it was a repro or not so I passed on it.
Thanks Penny!! I can't help but love that expression as well.
Thanks hotairfan!! Yes, I not only have heard of the forward facing Boston Terrier, but I happen to own one. They were made by O.C.C CO. and are probably the most highly sought after. Thy are extremely rare. check out my link below.
