These sake cups are about 1.75" high by 2.25" in diameter. Google translate could not make out anything from the text on the cups. Guessing maybe the signature of the artist who painted the design? Not sure of age on these, both NIB but one missing its lid, but made after 2002 when Toyo and Sasaki merged. Super cheap so could not pass them by.
Google Translate can only make out the central string of characters on the lid as "Guinomi".
It reads the white label as:
"Guinomi Hirame
XXXXX XXXXXX Crystal Co., Ltd."
Very nice sake cups!! I love that beautiful fish design.
Gorgeous sake cups, the fish is so lovely and delicate
Super design, the fish so right for the shape of the cup. Great find!
Thanks for your comments, jscott0363! I was kind of surprised to see hand work on these as my impression is that T/S was only doing machine made glass.
Thanks, Jenni! Glass is for summer sake drinking and I have very few glass cups.
Thanks for your comments, skl042! Like a fish in a fishbowl, eh? Not sure if the writing is a plus or a negative.
