Hello everyone!!
Another of my doorstops is this 1930 Taylor Cook No. 2 "Elephant On A Barrel" doorstop. This one cleaned up nicely and I was in the right place at the right time when I found him. There was a series of 8 doorstops released by Taylor Cook during that period, which consisted of a Penguin, Elephant, Dachshund, Monkey, Donkey, Fawn, Koala Bear and Parrot. I have the No. 1 Penguin, No. 2 Elephant On Barrel and No. 8 Dachshund in my collection. These were all painted in very whimsical colors and finding one in this condition was a feeling like no other. This one measures 8 3/8" tall and 6 1/4" wide.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look at my Taylor Cook No. 2 Elephant On A Barrel doorstop!!

Jenni,
Thanks so very much!! I love all of the whimsical colors that Taylor Cook used on their doorstops. This fellow is a difficult find, especially at a reasonable price.
