Old Taylor vulcanized trunk co.

I am looking to refurbish this trunk. What would be the best way to get rid of scratches that were made on it? Is there a way I can get a new tray for the inside as the bottom is falling out. I want to keep this looking like the original as much as possible. I have to replace the handles and the lock. How can I get the original lock? Also if anyone can give me an idea on how to figure out the year it was made I would be ever so appreciative.
