Hello everyone!!
Another recent find is this little bronze huntsman fox match holder. This one is extremely detailed and is from sometime between the mid-1800's to 1900. There are no markings that I can detect, so I'm not sure who the manufacturer was. This one came from England, so it was either made in the UK or Europe. It's quite small and measures only 3 1/4" tall and 2 7/8" long. I love match holders almost as much as doorstops and this one fits perfectly into my match holder collection.
Thanks very much for stopping in to see my huntsman fox match holder!!!

no where as cute as the squirrel though :)
A dandy huntsman fox, carrying his cane so nonchalantly - what a super design and terrific match holder
Love this little guy, fortunate buy for your collection !~
BHIFOS,
Thanks! I agree, the squirrels are much cuter.
Jenni,
Thanks very much!! I have a larger version of this bronze huntsman fox that I posted years ago. This fox design was utilized on several different English made items.
Phil,
Thanks!! I felt fortunate to have found him and for only $22.00!!!!
