    Hi. I paid £5 for this yesterday. It weighs almost 2kg. Not sure who she is or wether it is brass bronze or copper. It looks very old due to the amount of ingrained dust. The unusual thing about it is that she has a black face rather than showing signs of brass copper etc. any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

      Yes, this specifically depicts Green Tara, the female bodhisattva of compassion. There are other forms of Tara, such as long-life White Tara. But Green Tara is by far the best-known and most loved. Her practice is extremely popular among Tibetan Buddhists.
