      So I imagine a finial being on top of something. Lamp, bedpost, etc. This if it were to be from a Chandolier would be on the bottom inverted up....I think....Thats the best I could come up with........That being said, when I saw it, I had to have it, even if only for the "what the hell is this thing" Thank you everyone for the shared love and knowledge. It has been many wonderful years sharing, viewing, and learning......John

      looks like iridescent hobnail glass pedestal repurposed for a windchime or suncatcher
