This antique brass plated, cast-iron piece featuring hunting dogs and stag jumping a fence is the back panel off of a Bradley and Hubbard inkwell stand ca 1885 . As nice as it would be to have the whole Inkwell stand this piece is still an attractive item on its own. 7 1/2“ x 4“.
This is quite a beautiful piece, even if it is missing the rest of the inkwell. B&H were known as the Tiffany's of doorstops, inkwells, etc... Their detailing was far above any others.
Could you post another picture or 2? Picture #1 is very dark making the details hard to see (perhaps it’s my faulty vision contributing to the difficulty).
Being from an inkwell, I assume it’s rather small….Will you let us know some dimensions?
