Vintage candy/chocolate mold . This cute dog mold pieces together to form the full body. Quite heavy and made it what looks like a pewter type material. You must have to secure it with rubber bands or ties and then you can see in the third picture where are you would pour the liquid in the top. When it’s put together it measures 6“ x 1“ x 1 1/2“. I was thinking it might’ve been used to make those cool red and white Christmas animal suckers and candies we had as children. Both pieces have the number eight on the 8 on the outside. Couldn’t really find any information on them. If you have use this type of mold or are familiar with them, I was curious as to whether I could use them to make bees wax figures. I have some old Christmas ornaments made from beeswax…. Or possibly a soap mold?(for some little doggy guest soaps) it looks like a lab , but maybe with a husky tail
You find the coolest things!! I've seen chocolate molds in may different shapes and forms, but this is the first I've seen with dogs.
Well thanks so much Jscotto . I’d forgotten about this until I was cleaning out a cupboard this week. maybe I’m going to have to try those Christmas candies this year. Thanks everyone for the loves.
