The WW1 Identification bracelet was bought by a soldier in Bar-le-Duc, just 10 days before the Armistice. It is dated on the back "Nov 1, 1918".

Bar-le-Duc was a major railhead and at various times US (AEF) troops were stationed in the area.

These and similar bracelets were popular among US troops during the war.
