This 1 1-2" round goldtone brooch has a mix of emerald & light green rhinestones of various shape, with a ropy goldtone border. From Barclay's Jewels of India collection that included other brooches, necklace & bracelet in different rhinestone color combinations, ca late 40s-early 50s
That is a perfect find and I love the no Ab'ing on the stones, perfect amount of coloured stone choices !~
Incredibly beautiful Jenni!! I love the emeralds.
Costume jewellery back then was so lux. This is a beauty Jenni.
With thanks to you all for the love

Thank you all for your wonderful compliments
Phil, I am with you about no ABing here, just a beautiful blend of different green rhinestone colors. They didn't need to enhance (often distort) the stones back in those days
Scott I love the emerald green colors here too, very deep and true jewel tones, they remind me that Christmas is coming :)
Karen that's so true, lux is the perfect word, not only jewelry of those times but the clothing - you didn't have to have Paris couture to wear lovely apparel, it seemed everything was silk or satin lined in women's fashion, I remember this back to the 60s as a kid seeing all that elegant stuff on ladies I knew
Thank you DRAG for the love it's most kind of you and always appreciated
Thank you Mani for loving this green Barclay brooch, I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it & grateful for your kind consideration
