Hello, I found this beautiful huge blown glass vase. It was buried in my backyard for at least 20 years! I've literally been online for a few years now every day looking for something that helps me understand why it was buried and what its history might reveal. It’s so intriguing that someone would cover this beauty up with dirt forever?!? I'd greatly appreciate any opinions you could offer. Thank you so much in advance. It's 24" high and weighs about 13 Ibs. it's cased in super heavy thick glass or crystal.
It looks black, blue and white but it turns a reddish purple in the light. It does have several markings.
I'm legally blind so it's hard to see them. I broke out my magnifying glass. The struggle is real!! LOL ! Thank you in advance!
Welcome to CW. That's a heck of a find. How did you happen to find it and not break it? I'd find someone with a metal detector, could be more goodies? Do you have a l9cal historical society or museum that might have more information on the property?
Amazing find. Welcome to CW!
Maybe Bohemian/Czech.
Gorgeous vase, a wonderful find
@dav2no1 Hi, thank you for commenting! I'm in Florida. I moved into my new house back in 98. We were the first house built in our neighborhood. It was all trees and swamp. There was nothing there! I didn't even know it was there. Shocked is an understatement. We moved to a new house a few years ago and I wanted to bring my fruit trees with us from the old house where I found the vase so I had my son dig them up. He started yelling "Mom!!! Look at this!" It's strange but incredibly intriguing to say the least. I still don't think it's as clean as it could be but I'm scared to do much to it. Since we've already moved the house has a new owner and the neighborhood is obviously full now. Unfortunately, I can’t go to the house because it’s not ours anymore. I’m absolutely perplexed by this situation. I’m praying someone will be able to help us with identifying it’s origin.

Thank you so much for commenting! You think maybe Bohemian? Is there somewhere I can research a catalog or something to help with identification of origin? I appreciate your input!!
I have a ton of incredible pictures and videos of it. I wish I could share them on here??
Maybe an urn??
